Sub-Saharan Africa is comprised of 46 countries and territories that has hundreds of different language groups and one billion people.

Africa is the only continent in the world where the population is still growing. By 2050, the number of people living on the continent will have doubled (if not tripled) and, at that time, one-quarter world’s total population will inhabit Africa. Without exponential growth in the number of churches we will never reach the rapidly increasing population.

NewThing Sub-Saharan Africa has been serving the area since 2017.

Coming out of the Corona Virus global pandemic with optimism despite the lockdowns and travel restrictions with the years 2020-2021, we adapted and have continued on course in our mandate. During these 2 years over 636 churches and over 1,594 leaders were trained in 11 different African countries, among which were 6 new African Countries making a debut in the Northern Africa region for the first time as an organization when we conducted training in both Sudan and Mali.

Our team has trained a total of 1,288 churches and 4,831 leaders in 22 African nations and have helped to catalyze over 830 NEW churches!

We now have Western and Eastern Africa sub-regional teams in full operation and we are making progress in launching sub-regional teams in Southern and Central Africa. Eventually, we hope to have a NewThing team operating in every country. In NewThing SSA, we currently have over 70 apprentice trainers and facilitators from 14 different African countries that help us effectively execute trainings.
