Igniting a Movement: How Discipleship is Transforming Churches in Naval, Leyte

Recently, our team had the privilege of conducting a Regional Discipleship Conference (RDC) in Naval, Leyte—a journey that, though long and challenging, proved to be deeply rewarding. From the very first day, we could sense the hunger and eagerness of the pastors and workers who attended. They were not just receptive but passionate, already asking us to bring the training to their own churches and communities.
One of the most significant moments came when the largest church organization in the region, the Assemblies of God, invited us to conduct training for them. This opportunity reaffirmed the growing impact of the discipleship movement and the need for equipping leaders in the region.
But what truly touched our hearts happened on the final day of the training. As part of the closing session, the participants were asked to write down their big dreams for their churches and their cities. Watching them stand before us, holding up their dreams on paper, was deeply moving. Many were in tears, crying out to God, pleading for His favor and guidance.
What stood out even more was seeing both young and old pastors dreaming again—rekindling their passion for the mission. The sincerity in their prayers and their renewed sense of calling was evident, and we couldn’t help but be overwhelmed at how the Lord is using this movement to ignite a fresh fire in their hearts.
A particularly inspiring moment came from two individuals with disabilities (PWDs) who boldly shared their dream—a dream to play an active role in advancing God’s Kingdom. Their faith and determination challenged and encouraged everyone present, proving that God’s calling knows no limits.
As a team, we left Naval with hearts full of gratitude and awe. Hearing pastors share their dreams, seeing their renewed passion, and witnessing God move in such a powerful way was an absolute joy. We believe this is just the beginning of something greater, and we are excited to see how God continues to transform churches and communities across the Visayas.
To everyone who prayed, supported, and took part in this mission—thank you! The fire has been lit, and we know it will continue to burn for His glory.
Stay tuned for more updates on how God is moving through RDCs across the nation!
