While cities often receive the lion’s share of attention and resources, NewThing is taking bold steps to invest in America’s “hard soil” areas—rural communities and overlooked people groups, including black, brown, and refugee populations. These areas often lack financial ROI, but the courageous leaders serving there are answering God’s call, often juggling multiple jobs to make it happen.
This year, NewThing hosted its first-ever Rural Movement Leaders Roundtable, bringing together leaders from networks like Dirt Roads Network, Vineyard Rural, and United Brethren to dream about catalyzing a nationwide movement in rural America. With over 60 million people in rural areas, the harvest is plentiful—but we need your help to make this vision a reality.
